I trained as a stonemason before moving into guiding, so the carved and painted detail on the Rathaus facade still stops me every time I walk past it. On camera I show the building's red sandstone and gilded decoration, then step into the market held on the square in front of it most weekday mornings. I explain how little the building's role in city government has changed since it was built. I keep a fairly detailed pace and welcome technical questions about the stonework and the murals.
