I grew up walking past the Grossmünster's twin towers every day on my way to school, so the building still feels more like a neighbour than a monument to me. On camera I explain the church's connection to the reformer Huldrych Zwingli, who preached here in a way that reshaped the whole city. I also climb up to a raised terrace built on the site of an old Roman fort, since the view over the old town from there says more than any single photograph of the towers could. I keep a steady pace and enjoy detailed questions about the Reformation's local history.
