I have guided walks along Sibiu's surviving city walls for over a decade, and the Carpenters' and Potters' Towers are still the stretch I most enjoy explaining, since each one shows how a different guild took responsibility for its own defence. On camera I also visit the Botanical Garden, one of the oldest in Romania, founded in the nineteenth century on the edge of the old town. I keep a formal, steady pace and welcome specific questions about the guild system that once ran this city. Video works well for old fortifications, since the camera can trace a long stretch of wall in a single continuous shot.
