Ruben Smit

I trained as a city guide through a formal course and still structure my sessions the way I was taught, with a clear beginning, middle and end rather than jumping between anecdotes. My focus is the old harbour side of the centre, where a medieval weigh house and a busy antiques market sit only a short walk apart. I hold the camera steady and let a building be seen properly before I start explaining its history. I answer questions directly and would rather admit I do not know something than guess.
