Salome Sharashenidze

I studied painting before I started guiding, and Dry Bridge Market is still where I go to see what the city is quietly selling off, Soviet medals, old family portraits, hand-painted signs. On camera I move slowly along one row of blankets at a time and explain what a seller can usually tell me about a piece. I also show the courtyard murals tucked into Sololaki's back streets, which most visitors never find on their own. My calls are informal, and I like when someone asks me to go back and look at something twice.
