Salvatore Lo Cascio

I have worked as a guide in Palermo for over a decade, mostly around the baroque crossroads where the city's two main streets meet. On camera I turn slowly at Quattro Canti so you can see all four corners in sequence, each one built to represent a different season, a Spanish king and a saint. I usually continue to the fountain nearby, since its nude statues caused a real scandal when it first arrived from Florence, and that story always gets a reaction. I like keeping sessions light and a little playful, since this corner of the city rewards it.
