I trained as a mountain guide before shifting toward video sessions, so the world's steepest cogwheel railway up Pilatus still gives me a small thrill every time I ride it. On camera I explain how the railway's gradient pushed the engineering of its time to its limits when it was built. I point out how quickly the view changes once the train clears the treeline.
