I live in Oltrarno, so Palazzo Pitti's imposing exterior is where I usually start, camera pulling back to show its scale against the smaller houses around it. I explain how the Medici family bought and expanded what was originally a rival family's palace. From there I move into the quieter streets of Oltrarno itself, since the neighbourhood's daily life says as much about Florence as the palace does. I keep my pace relaxed throughout, matching how the area actually feels to live in.
