I trained as a tour guide specifically to climb the spiral spire of the Church of Our Saviour, since it remains one of the few landmarks in the city I never get tired of showing. On camera I climb the external staircase winding around the tower, pointing out how the steps narrow as they near the top and explaining the church's Baroque construction from the 1690s. From the top I show the view back across Christianshavn's canals below. I keep the pace steady given the climb, and I explain the spire's construction history along the way. Filming from up here shows the whole district at once.
