Simon Krenn

I studied architecture before switching to guiding, so the Kunsthaus building itself interests me as much as anything inside it. On camera I show the biomorphic structure locals still call the Friendly Alien, built for the city's year as a European Capital of Culture, then walk down to the artificial island sitting in the river nearby. I explain how both projects reshaped how people think about the riverfront here. I keep my sessions relaxed and enjoy fielding questions about the more unusual architecture around the city.
