I grew up in Unterseen, the quieter quarter across the river that most visitors to Interlaken never properly see. On camera I walk its single main street at an easy pace, since there is rarely much traffic to compete with the explanation. I trained briefly in traditional joinery, so the carved wooden balconies are the detail I linger on longest, tracing patterns that once meant something specific to the households that commissioned them. I keep both of my sessions close and specific rather than trying to cover the whole town. I answer questions about the carving in as much detail as anyone wants.
