Simone Villa

I have a degree in art history focused on funerary sculpture, so Milan's Cimitero Monumentale is where I feel most useful as a guide, filming its open-air collection of tombs built like small chapels and temples. My other session covers the Roman columns of San Lorenzo, one of the few visible traces of the city Milan once was under the empire. I move slowly through both sessions, since the detail rewards patience rather than speed. I am happy to talk at length about the history behind any single tomb or column a viewer notices.
