Sofia Barbieri

I studied painting before becoming a guide, so the Accademia Carrara's collection, especially its Bellini and Botticelli works, is where I spend most of my filming time from just outside the galleries. My other session covers Teatro Donizetti, named for the composer born a few streets away, and I like connecting Bergamo's visual and musical history in the same afternoon. I keep a warm, curious pace and am happy to go into real depth on any single painting or piece of music a viewer asks about.
