I live just off Principe Real and walk through its garden most mornings before anything else, so the giant cedar at its centre feels like part of my daily routine rather than a landmark. On camera I show the garden first, explaining how a 19th-century count planted trees still standing today, then walk the surrounding streets past mansions turned into boutiques and concept stores. I keep the pace slow in the garden itself, since the tree's scale only really reads once you stop under it. Six years in, I still stop there most days regardless of who is watching.
