I have lived two streets from the Golden Roof my whole life and still notice new details in its gilded tiles depending on the light. On camera I like showing how the balcony was built for an emperor who wanted to watch tournaments in the square below without stepping outside. I studied local history at university here, so questions about the old town's facades rarely catch me out. I keep the pace easy through the narrow streets and let the mountains at the end of the main street speak for themselves whenever we reach them.
