The Pompidou wears its pipes and escalators on the outside, and I like explaining why a museum building would choose to expose its own structure rather than hide it. I trained as an architecture guide before moving fully into contemporary art. On camera I keep a formal pace along the building's exterior before describing what is currently inside. French, English and German all work for my calls. I answer questions about both the architecture and the collection in equal depth, since most viewers are curious about both.
