Stavros Bekiaris

My family has kept an orange grove on the plain outside town for three generations, so the region's spoon sweet tradition is something I grew up making at home before I ever explained it to anyone else. On camera I walk the grove and show how the fruit becomes the syrup-preserved sweet the area is known for. I also cover Staikopoulou Street's tavernas, busiest in the evening, though I only show the street and let viewers taste nothing themselves. I run relaxed, chatty sessions and enjoy the food questions I get most.
