About Stelios
Mountain man from Sfakia. I have walked the Samaria Gorge more than 300 times, first as a boy following my uncle's goats, then as a ranger with the forest service, and for the last ten years as a guide. The gorge runs 16 kilometres from Xyloskalo down to Agia Roumeli on the Libyan Sea, and it is only open from May to October. No flip flops. I have carried people who tried. From Chania, I now guide on live video with my phone, and the chat stays open for your questions the whole time.
