Stéphane Castellani

My father sold fish on the Quai des Belges every morning for thirty years, and my grandfather came over from Naples in the 1930s and lived three streets from where I live now, in the Panier. I have been a climbing and hiking instructor in the Calanques for eleven years, and that is still my favourite place on earth, all white limestone and water the colour of a swimming pool. I also guide in town, because Marseille gets a bad reputation from people who never walked around it. I love this city loudly, I do not pretend it is tidy, and I will show you where to eat a bouillabaisse that is worth the money and where not to. I speak French, English and Italian. The sun and the rock do not forgive. Everything I do is now live on video: I walk Marseille with my phone, and you can ask me anything as we go.
