Tamar Gelashvili

I am an architect by education and I spent six years at the National Agency for Cultural Heritage, documenting buildings that were about to disappear. That is how I fell in love with Soviet modernism, the concrete that most visitors photograph and few understand. My Soviet Tbilisi tour visits the old Ministry of Highways, now the Bank of Georgia headquarters, the Archaeology Museum with its relief façade, the Expo Georgia pavilions and the Chronicles of Georgia, the huge bronze columns above the Tbilisi Sea. I speak French from my studies in Paris. I prefer groups that like to stop and look, and I am happy to recommend reading for after the tour.
