Tamar Kavtaradze

I trained as a horticulturist before I became a guide, so the Batumi Botanical Garden is where I feel most useful on camera, moving between its nine climate zones without ever leaving the same hillside. I like to stop wherever a plant looks completely out of place for the Black Sea coast and explain how it got there. On calmer days I also show 6 May Park in the city centre, a smaller, quieter green space near the sea. I keep the pace slow in both places and let people ask about whatever plant or view catches their attention.
