Tamar Kiknadze

I studied architecture before I started guiding, and Rustaveli Avenue is where I still point my phone at the details other people walk past, the cast-iron balconies, the theatre facades, the old cinema signs. On a call I hold on one building long enough to explain what period it belongs to, rather than moving down the avenue too fast. I also take people to the Opera House to look at its patterned facade up close. I like calls that slow down rather than cover ground, and I answer every question about a building before moving on.
