I studied at the university here, so I still know exactly where the light falls best on the main building's columns at different times of day. My sessions usually start at the square and climb Toome Hill, since the walk up explains how the university and the cathedral ruins sit almost on top of each other. On camera I like lingering at the two footbridges, because the stories attached to each one say more about student life than any factual plaque does. I keep a warm, unhurried pace and always save proper time at the end for questions about the city.
