Teresa Carvalho

I grew up in Lapa, in one of the older houses now squeezed between embassies, so the neighbourhood's quiet gardens and gated grounds are simply where I played as a child. On camera I walk the streets explaining which buildings now house which countries' missions, and I take calls separately for people who want to ask about the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga's collection before deciding whether to visit. I keep the walking sessions slow, since Lapa rewards a quiet pace more than most of central Lisbon does. Ten years of guiding later, I still enjoy how little changes here.
