Teresa Salgado

I studied literature at Coimbra, so the legend of Inês de Castro is the story I know best, and I built my main session around the garden where it is set. On camera I follow the spring said to mark her story before moving to Rua da Sofia, once lined with colleges rather than shops. I keep a slow pace through both, since a legend and a Renaissance street both reward patience rather than a quick pass. I separate what is documented history from what is legend as I go, rather than blurring the two together. I answer questions about the story's different versions as they come up.
