I grew up under Kalvária and I still notice new details in its chapels every time I climb past them with a camera. On camera I hold on the plague column in Trojičné námestie longer than most guides would, since the carving rewards a close look most visitors miss from a distance. I studied local mining history for years before I ever gave a session, so I explain the two castles as a working defence system, not just old stone. I keep my pace slow, because this town's slopes and its stories both need time to land properly.
