Turi Amato

Everyone in my neighbourhood calls me Turi, and I have spent most evenings of my adult life around Vucciria, first as a customer and now as a guide. On camera I show how the market square turns from a quiet produce stop by day into one of the loudest, most crowded corners of the city after dark. I point out which stalls have been there the longest and which dishes people queue for once the sun goes down. I keep my sessions unscripted, since the square changes completely from one hour to the next and I would rather show it as it is.
