I grew up a few streets from one of the old city gates, so the medieval fortifications still feel like part of my own neighbourhood rather than a monument. On camera I show the twin turrets of the surviving gate, then walk down to a quiet lane along an old mill stream where former paper mills now sit half hidden behind ivy. I explain how differently these two stops represent the city's medieval defences and its old industry. I keep an easy pace and welcome questions about either stop in real depth.
