Ursula Meixner

I grew up in Michaelsberg's shadow and still visit the abbey church often, mostly for the ceiling painted with over six hundred medicinal plants above the old monks' choir. On camera I hold on a handful of the paintings, explaining which plants monks once grew and used just outside these walls. My second session moves to the Obere Pfarre, the Gothic church with the city's tallest spire, where I point out its Marian altar in detail. I keep a warm, thoughtful pace and enjoy questions about the monastic history behind both buildings.
