Vera Moreira

I studied botany before guiding, so the Jardim Botanico's century-old trees are where I feel most at home with a camera, naming species most visitors walk past without a glance. On camera I show the garden first, then walk from Rato up toward Principe Real, connecting two green spaces most visitors treat as unrelated stops. I keep the garden session slower than the walk, since the collection rewards patience more than a quick pass through it. Five years of guiding later, I still notice something new in that garden most months.
