My parents ran a bakery in Chinatown for over twenty years, so I still get waved through the back door of a few shops without needing to ask. My sessions cover the bakeries and grocers before the evening rush, when the streets are calm enough to actually explain what is in the windows rather than shout over a crowd. I like showing how small the whole neighbourhood actually is once you know the side streets, since most visitors only ever see the main strip through Chinatown's gate. I answer questions about the food in as much detail as anyone wants, since it is the subject I know best.
