I have worked as a mountain guide in the Tatras for over fifteen years, though these calls stay well within what a phone camera and a short walk can reasonably cover rather than a full ascent. I like showing the national park from its lower trails and explaining how the peaks visible from town, including Rysy, were shaped by glaciers rather than volcanic activity as people sometimes assume. I also talk through Morskie Oko and why it draws so many visitors despite the distance involved. Guiding on video lets me share the mountains with people who cannot make the walk themselves, which matters more to me than it used to.
