Zurab Kiknadze

I worked for years at the Sighnaghi Museum before I started guiding on camera, so the collection there, including the Pirosmani paintings, is where I feel most at home. On a call I like to stay in one gallery at a time rather than rushing the whole museum, since a screen already flattens the work enough. I also take people along the eighteenth-century town walls when the light is right, tracing the line of towers built to hold off raids from the valley below. I keep the pace slow and let a single detail carry the conversation rather than a long list of facts.
