About this tour
This session looks at Casa Vicens from across the street, Gaudí's first major house and a private home for most of its life. You see the colourful ceramic tiling of its facade and then the ironwork of its garden wall, patterned after palm leaves that once grew there. It is an early, less famous Gaudí building told in close detail.
I stay across the street and move for a couple of angles on the tiling and ironwork, explaining the house's history as we go. Questions are welcome throughout, and I send a short note once we finish.
This suits anyone interested in Gaudí's early style before it became more abstract. It also pairs well with a session on Gràcia's hidden passatges nearby.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
