About this tour
This session moves through some of Bath's quieter lanes and its independent shops, away from the main streets. You see original Georgian shopfronts and step into one long-running secondhand bookshop. I point out the small details that mark a shop as genuinely old rather than styled to look it.
We start with a sound check at the top of the lane, then move down through the shops at a slow pace, with time to look inside where filming is welcome. Questions come as we go, and I send a short list of shop names afterwards.
It suits browsers and anyone who prefers small streets to busy ones. It also works well combined with a shorter session on the main Georgian sights.

Down a narrow Georgian lane, you see a run of small independent shops still trading behind original shopfronts, and I point out the ones that have not changed hands in decades.

Inside a crowded secondhand bookshop, you see shelves stacked to the ceiling, and I show a few local history titles that only ever seem to turn up in Bath.
