About this tour
This session walks Friedrichstraße, from its rebuilt shopping stretch to the station at its northern end. You see a mix of older facades and new glass storefronts along the street. The session finishes at the station, once a major Cold War crossing point where travellers between East and West were processed under close watch.
We open with a short sound check partway down the street. I walk at an easy pace toward the station and take questions about the crossing procedures once used here throughout. Afterwards I send a short note on the station's Cold War role.
This suits anyone interested in Berlin's commercial history alongside its Cold War geography. It also works well paired with the Potsdamer Platz session.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
