Fountains and shopfronts under the Kramgasse arcades
Highlights
- A painted fountain explained figure by figure
- Shopfronts unchanged for generations
- One arcaded street, closely read
- Old town craftsmanship at street level
- Kramgasse's details most visitors miss
About this tour
This shorter session stays entirely on Kramgasse, one of the old town's best-preserved arcaded streets. You see one of its painted fountains explained in detail and a row of shopfronts sheltered under the same covered arcades for generations. It is a close, unhurried look at a single street rather than a wider loop.
Lukas moves slowly between the fountain and the shopfronts, giving each one time to be read properly on camera. He answers questions about the fountains' painted figures as they come up.
This suits anyone who prefers one street explained thoroughly over several places covered quickly. It pairs well with the longer cathedral and Einstein session.

Good to know

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
