The pletna landing and a short lakeside walk
Highlights
- Boats rowed by the same families for generations
- A flat stretch of shore, easy underfoot
- The landing where every island crossing starts
- A short walk, close to the water throughout
- A gentle contrast to the lake's steeper trails
About this tour
This short session covers the pletna boat landing and a level stretch of shore just beyond it. You see the traditional boats waiting for passengers and then a quieter, flatter section of path that contrasts with the steeper trails elsewhere around the lake. It stays close to the water throughout.
I keep an easy pace along the flat path, checking in at both stops, and answer questions about the boats or the walk as they come up.
This suits anyone who wants a short, easy introduction to the lakeshore. It also suits viewers deciding whether to book a longer walking or climbing session afterward.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide
- Questions to your guide all the way
- A short list of places to visit later
Not included
- Internet connection
- Travel to the city
Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Bled before heading out.
-
Pletna Boat Landing 15 min
You see the flat-bottomed pletna boats waiting at the landing, and I explain how the right to row these routes has stayed within the same handful of families for generations.
-
A Short Lakeside Stretch 15 min
The camera continues a short way along the shore, and I point out how the path stays level and close to the water the entire way, unlike the steeper trails on the far side of the lake.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Bled: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Bled trout and Zaka, worth a slower look.

- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
