About this tour
This session walks Bodrum's harbour after dark, when the castle is floodlit and the town's well known bar street comes alive. You see the lit promenade, the castle above the water and the exterior of the venues that give this stretch its reputation. Barış, whose family has lived here for generations, explains how the area has changed over the decades.
The call opens with a sound check on the quieter end of the promenade, then moves toward the busier stretch as the evening gets going. Barış answers questions about the area's history and sends a short note afterwards on how the harbour looked before tourism arrived.
