- The Cávado valley from above
- Two centuries of pilgrimage, explained on the climb
About this tour
This session follows the climb from the edge of Braga up to the hilltop sanctuary at Sameiro, taking in the older pilgrim path alongside the modern road. Miguel reaches the wide terrace in front of the sanctuary before finishing at the viewpoint over the Cávado valley. The whole session stays outdoors, following a route walked by pilgrims for close to two centuries.
Miguel paces the climb so the camera stays steady rather than shaking with each step, pausing wherever the path opens out. He takes questions as he climbs and again at the terrace, where there is more time to talk. A short note on the sanctuary's history follows the session by message.
This suits anyone drawn to viewpoints and the outdoors over interiors, or who wants to see how the countryside around Braga looks up close. It also pairs well with a session on the Roman city for contrast between the old centre and this wider landscape.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
