Chocolate and waffles, a Bruges food story on camera
Highlights
- Pralines, explained shop by shop
- Two waffle styles, compared properly
- Bruges' chocolate trade, traced
- A food story told on camera
- Belgian traditions, from the source
About this tour
This session follows Bruges' chocolate and waffle traditions through a row of shop windows and a waffle stall. You see the different pralines explained shop by shop, then the two main Belgian waffle styles compared side by side. It is a short session built around two of Bruges' best known food traditions.
We start with a sound check outside the first shop window, since the street can be busy with visitors. I move to the waffle stall for the second stop and answer questions about the different styles as we go. A short list of the shops and stalls follows by message afterwards.
It suits anyone curious about Belgian food traditions beyond a quick taste. It also works well before trying either dish yourself at a shop of your choosing.
Included

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
