About this tour

This planning call helps you build a realistic route through Dijon's old town, balancing the ducal palace, the owl trail and Les Halles market. Mathieu talks through what matters most to you and checks the plan against what is actually open and worth the time. You leave with an order that fits your schedule rather than a generic list.

After a short chat about your dates and interests, Mathieu sketches a route live and explains his reasoning. He checks market days and local events that might shift the plan and answers questions as they come up. A written version of the route follows by message.

This suits anyone short on time who wants a local's honest priorities. It also suits a first visit to Dijon, when the choices can feel scattered.

Itinerary

  1. Hello, and what you want to know 5 min

The guide calls you and asks what you are after: planning Dijon, recommendations, or just questions.

  2. What we plan together 15 min

We talk through your dates and interests and I sketch a route between the palace, the owl trail and the market that fits the time you actually have.

  3. What I check before we finish 15 min

I check the plan against market days and any events happening on your dates, then adjust the order if something is worth timing around.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Ask anything that is still on your mind, there is no fixed script.

  5. A written note after the call 3 min

You get a short follow-up message with everything mentioned, so you do not have to remember it all.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
