About this tour

This session finds a quieter viewpoint within the Alhambra woods for sunset, distinct from the busier Mirador de San Nicolás elsewhere in the city. You see the valley change colour framed by trees on either side, a different angle from the wider views found at more famous spots. It is a short, calm session built entirely around the fading light.

We begin at the viewpoint with a quick check of the light, then hold steady as the colours shift, keeping commentary light throughout. I answer questions about the woods and the view as they come up.

This suits travellers who have already visited the busier viewpoints and want something quieter, and anyone who enjoys a calm close to the day. It works only around sunset, so timing matters here.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Granada before heading out.

  2. A woodland viewpoint 15 min

The camera settles at a viewpoint within the Alhambra woods, less visited than the main mirador, looking out toward the city as the light begins to fade.

  3. The last light over the valley 15 min

You see the valley below change colour as the sun sets, and I explain why this particular angle, framed by trees on either side, differs from the wider views found elsewhere in the city.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Granada: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Tinto de verano and Sacromonte, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
