The Loggia and the harbour promenade
Highlights
- A 15th-century Loggia, explained
- A building's later life as a hotel
- Yachts moored along the promenade
- Hvar's harbour through the seasons
- A relaxed second look at the old town
About this tour
This session pairs the Venetian Loggia, a 15th-century building beside Hvar's main square, with a walk along the harbour promenade that runs beside it. You see how the old Loggia was later built into a harbourside hotel, then the promenade itself, lined with yachts that vary hugely between summer and the quieter months. It is a calmer companion session to the busier square.
We start at the Loggia with a sound check, then walk the promenade for the second stop, taking questions about the boats and the buildings along the way. A short note follows once we finish.
It suits visitors who want a relaxed second look at the old town after a busier first session. It also works well later in the afternoon, when the promenade is at its most pleasant.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
