- A Victorian estate house restored
- Gardens open for local exhibitions
- Killarney's grander buildings, explained
About this tour
This session looks at two of Killarney's grander buildings, a Pugin-designed cathedral and a restored Victorian estate house now used for exhibitions. You see the cathedral's exterior detail and the gardens around the estate house, with the story of both buildings' long and sometimes difficult histories explained on camera. It stays outdoors, working from what is visible from the grounds.
After a short sound check outside the cathedral, I walk between the two buildings stop by stop, explaining their history as each one comes into view. I take questions live as they come and send a short note afterwards on current exhibitions for anyone who wants to visit.
It suits anyone interested in architecture and local history, and anyone curious about Killarney beyond its lakes and mountains.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
