About this tour
This session follows part of Čierna hora, the forested hills on Košice's northern edge. You see where the city streets give way to forest trails and then a clear overlook back across the rooftops and the cathedral spire. It is a change of pace from the old town sessions, built around trees and a view rather than buildings.
I move at a light jogging pace along the trail, since that is how most locals use it, though I slow down at the overlook to let the view settle. Questions come in throughout, and I answer them without breaking stride where the path allows. A short note on the wider trail network follows afterwards.
This suits anyone who wants Košice from a distance rather than only its streets. It also works well early in the morning, when the light and the trail are both at their best.
