This session covers Košice's main covered market, focused on the cheese and smoked meat stalls I know from years of buying there myself. You see the cheese counter, hear about that morning's smoking batch, and then move to the meat stalls where cuts trace back to specific villages. It is a working market rather than a tourist stop, seen through someone who shops there weekly.
I move slowly between stalls, asking the questions I know matter rather than reading from a script. Viewers can ask their own questions too, and I pass them to the stallholders directly where it helps. A short shopping list follows once we finish, in case you want to compare prices elsewhere.
This suits anyone interested in East Slovak food beyond restaurant menus. It also works well before a longer food-focused visit to the region.
