Kazimierz's courtyards and hidden galleries
Highlights
- A tenement courtyard turned gallery
- Two courtyards, two different treatments
- Kazimierz's creative side, explained
- Old buildings, used differently today
- A quieter side of a busy district
About this tour
This session looks at two of Kazimierz's tenement courtyards, one converted into a small gallery and one left quieter and more residential. You see the gallery courtyard first, then the contrast with its quieter neighbour. It is a look at how the district's old buildings are being used differently, courtyard by courtyard.
We start at the gallery with a short sound check, then move to the second courtyard for the comparison. I explain the district's recent changes as we go and take questions throughout. A written list of galleries worth visiting follows afterwards.
It suits anyone who has already covered Kazimierz's history and wants a look at its present-day creative side. It also pairs well with the synagogues session for the fuller district.

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Krakow before heading out.
-
A restored courtyard gallery 21 min
The camera opens in a courtyard that now holds a small gallery, and I explain how many of Kazimierz's old tenement courtyards have been converted this way in recent years.
-
A second, quieter courtyard 21 min
We move to a quieter courtyard nearby, and you see how differently two similar spaces have been treated depending on who took them on.
-
Your questions 9 min
Time to ask anything about Krakow: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 4 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Kielbasa and Podgórze, worth a slower look.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 8 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
