The leaning clock tower at the puppet theatre
Highlights
- A deliberately leaning clock tower
- Mechanical figures on the hour
- A piece of street art, explained
- Beside the puppet theatre's entrance
- A short, playful architectural stop
About this tour
This short session holds on the leaning clock tower next to the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theatre. You see the tower's deliberate tilt and the mechanical figures set into it, explained as a single piece of street art. It stays at this one spot.
We time the call around the top of the hour where possible, moving briefly to the theatre entrance beside the tower, since the figures move on schedule. I explain the tower's design and take questions while we wait.
It suits anyone who enjoys unusual street art, and travellers curious about the theatre even if they cannot see a performance.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide
- Questions to your guide all the way
- A short list of places to visit later

-
The tower's tilt and figures 15 min
The camera holds on the leaning clock tower beside the puppet theatre, and I point out the small mechanical figures that appear at the top of the hour.
-
The theatre entrance beside it 15 min
I turn the camera to the puppet theatre's entrance just beside the tower, and describe briefly what kind of performances happen inside without suggesting anyone can watch one live.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Tbilisi: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Churchkhela and Vera, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Tbilisi time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 9 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
