This walk follows the path through an olive grove to the Kouros of Melanes, a giant unfinished marble statue left lying where it was carved more than two thousand years ago. Irini shows the approach through the trees before the statue comes into view in a small clearing. She explains why so many of these giant figures were abandoned before completion.
